About the project
This documentary captures the journey and impact of SBI Sanjeevani—a mobile healthcare initiative delivering doorstep medical services to underserved rural communities.
For ABGUS or Akhil Bhartiya Gramin Uthan Samiti, this was their first experience producing a professional documentary. So apart from filming, our role also involved guiding them through the creative and production process—ensuring trust, clarity, and alignment from the ground up. Credit to the team at ABGUS: they were incredibly receptive and collaborative.
The biggest challenge? We had just one shoot day.
The location was a village 100+ km from Delhi, and our schedule was packed—six interviews, ambient shots, patient coverage, doctor-patient interaction, the mobile medical van in action—all in a single day. Add to that the mid-summer humidity, unpredictable rain, and the usual rural shoot constraints.
And yet, by sunset, we had it all in the can. A brief shower gave us a scare, but it passed quickly, and our prep paid off. What followed was a post-production sprint to shape a film that looks polished, feels human, and does justice to a powerful idea.
For us, this film was a reminder that with the right mindset, even a constrained setup can produce honest, meaningful storytelling.
