About the project
When Dabur Sundesh, the CSR unit of Dabur India, sought a creative way to showcase their initiatives at a stakeholder and investor event, they turned to us for a fresh approach. Their brief was simple yet challenging: “Show what we do, but don’t make it a run-of-the-mill documentary.”
With full creative freedom, we set out to create something innovative that could capture hearts and attention alike. The result was a unique format that merged the authenticity of a documentary with the engaging narrative of a short film. We told the story of a day in the life of a young girl from a village transformed by Dabur Sundesh’s programs, including sanitation drives, vocational training, health centers, and self-help groups for women. The narrative highlighted how these initiatives brought tangible, positive changes to her life and community.
What set this film apart was our commitment to authenticity. Instead of casting professional actors, we worked with real local residents who had directly benefited from Dabur Sundesh’s programs. This decision, while challenging, added a layer of credibility and relatability to the story that resonated deeply with the audience. From pre-production to post-production, we meticulously planned every aspect to balance emotional storytelling with factual representation. The final film struck the perfect chord, delivering a compelling narrative that captivated the audience at the event. Stakeholders, old and new investors, and other attendees praised the film for its originality and heartfelt execution, making it a standout element of the presentation. This project reaffirmed our belief that meaningful stories told authentically can make a lasting impact—and who doesn’t love being part of something that truly makes a difference?
