About the project
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Centre for Knowledge & Development (CKD) and NatHealth were at the forefront of a vital mission: educating and mobilizing underserved communities to accept vaccination. These regions, often home to marginalized tribes and populations, were particularly vulnerable due to misinformation and skepticism about vaccines. CKD and NatHealth worked relentlessly to overcome these challenges by connecting with community leaders, organizing health initiatives, and spreading awareness about the life-saving benefits of vaccination.
The video we produced captures the essence of these efforts, highlighting the transformation that occurred in areas that initially resisted vaccination. Over four days of filming, we traveled to the Nuh region in Haryana and the Chirang and Baksa regions of Assam—two locations that posed significant logistical and social challenges. We filmed interviews with local residents, community leaders, healthcare workers, and representatives of CKD and NatHealth, showcasing how these organizations brought vaccination awareness to these hard-to-reach populations.
The video also highlights the personal stories of individuals who were initially hesitant but later embraced the vaccination, showing the ripple effect that such initiatives had on their communities. It is a testament to the dedication of CKD and NatHealth, who worked tirelessly in the face of adversity to ensure that vaccination reached the most vulnerable. The final product is a compelling case study that serves not just as documentation but as a reminder of the power of collaboration and community-driven change during one of the most difficult times in history.
